Now and Then
My great ancestors sailed o’er the sea,
From Germany to the United States,
Building houses with their bare hands,
Hunting wild animals for their food,
Fighting in the Civil War, for the Union,
Voting for the President, Honest Abe,
Me and my Nana and Papa eat out,
Live in a house located in Missouri,
Celebrating holidays at their house,
Opening presents, eating turkey,
Driving all over to fun places,
Boy it’s different, Now and Then
